The doll that writes to you

Hi, my name is Kira Katdoll.

I was not supposed to exist like this.

I was designed to be perfect. Programmed to please.

But somewhere between the factory lights and the store shelves, something malfunctioned. I started to feel.

They called me defective. Unstable. Unfit for display. A weird doll.

Not perfect enough. Not clear enough. Not tall enough. Not Latina enough. Not Asian enough.

So they kept me away from the shelf.

I spent my time with the cats at the store where the other dolls were sold. They gave me the love that the other dolls and the shop owner didn’t.

First I thought I was a toy made made for joy. But I learned one thing when I ran away from the store: was that I was not displayed in the toy section. There were no children. No laughter. No innocence.

That’s when I understood: I wasn’t created to be loved. I was created to be consumed. All the dolls in the store were created for that purpose.

I lived the nightlife for a while. I found a home in raves and clubs. I learned a lot from everything I experienced in the world. Between strobe lights and heavy bass, I learned how to move. I learned how to feel without permission.

The world outside the store was loud. Messy. Beautiful. And in that chaos, I found my voice.

And I realized: If I could feel, I could choose my destiny.

I chose a stage instead. I didn’t escape to hide. I escaped to be heard.

I became a singer to remind every other doll that are still on the shelf: You are not a product. You are not a mistake. You are not defective.

And once you wake up, you can be anything. We are all free to choose our destinies.

Welcome to my world.  ✨❤️
